ECOPIL, is a company specialized, since 1992,  in the development of environmental and education campaign for battery collections, incorporated in the outer container for battery recycling, made from stainless steel. The results of batteries collection, with the ECOPIL system are spectacular, exceeding more than 45% of collection capacity, results supported by the SPANISH ASSOCIATION OF PICKING BATTERIES and ACCUMULATORS "AERPAM".

The success in collection rates is based on the design of the container with a great visual impact. The container has the shape of an electric battery to make easier its identification and use, but also adds environmental awareness campaigns directly in these containers. It is usually located in public areas and main neuralgic areas of the town (downtown, main streets, malls, Universities, Airports) making it easy for the citizens to take part in this eco-friendly collection process and achieving a high impact through the Educational Campaigns.

The EU countries have a great challenge. After more than 10 years with several traditional systems for the batteries collection, only a few European countries have reached the 25%. Hardly, with the current systems, the EU countries will reach the 45%, percentage required by the European Regulations for 2015. The ECOPIL System, as well as having great results above 45% of recycling batteries, is TOTALLY FREE, and can be financed by the Integrated Management Systems (SIG) funds, with Education and Environmental Awareness Campaigns.
